XDB b2b Don Williams

Through the years living in Berlin I had heard great echos about both XDB and Don Williams skills as a DJ and curators. I was also very much into Don Williams work as a label curator for both a.r.t.less and Mojuba which hold in my opinion some of the finest contemporary dub and Detroit techno. I witnessed (a part) of their 11h b2b at Good2u festival and got impressed by the flow they carried together. Max and I decided to invite them to close 2025 summer. They played a groovy, dubby set that felt like a single living entity. Each track carried by a common undercurrent, hypnotic, seamless, and constantly flowing.

XDB Bio.

XDB is Kosta Athanassiadis – born in Germany to Greek parents, with roots in Göttingen, where he began DJing in the early ’90s, worked in a record shop, ran a radio show, and founded Metrolux in 2006. His early releases like Jackintosh EP hinted at dub techno but quickly broke free of stylistic boundaries, revealing a deep and open-minded approach to electronic music. As a DJ, Kosta has built a reputation through refined 3-deck sets and wide-ranging selections, with standout performances at festivals like Labyrinth (Japan), Freerotation (Wales), Waking Life, Houghton, De Weide, and Lighthouse. While his productions—released on labels like Dial, Sistrum, and Ferox—remain carefully curated, it’s his DJ sets that have cemented his global status. Even after three decades and countless gigs across 35 countries, Kosta keeps things understated, letting the music speak and earning respect through substance, not spectacle.

Don Williams Bio.

Don Williams, who also runs the Mojuba imprint, is a fixture of the German dance music underground: his name stands for refined craftsmanship and sterling sounds, with a strong influence from Detroit Techno’s timeless legacy. Ogazón is no stranger to Blitz either, and the considerate and in-demand selector will seduce our sailors with amorphous grooves from House & Techno—all on wax, all with a delicate command of the dancefloor’s ebb and flow. Completing the trio infernale is bw, whose unassumingly short name already hints at what to expect from the local DJ & producer. Sleek and no-frills Techno is his forte: his upcoming debut album doesn’t waste time on elaborate antics but thrills with pared-down, essential dub- and ambient-tinged Techno and immersive atmospheres. bw will take our Cruise on a deep dive.
