Reka Zalan

We knew little about Reka when we decided to book her. We were in touch with Stojche for this event and were looking for an artist that would fit the lineup with him. Stojche booker, Tim, recommended Reka to us. Max already knew her sound and I only knew Reka from Hardwax but I got quickly seduced by her selection and skills as a DJ. We decided to book her and got along very fast starting at the artist diner. Reka delivered an amazing set that night mixing classy driving big room lethal techno. She became a great friend of Lowpass and one of the few artists that we book regularly. Reka was also very supportive and introduced us to many artists in the scene including Robert and Laurent from the collective Coppi with whom we became friends and started organising parties together.

Reka Zalan Biography :

Reka Zalan is a Berlin-based Techno DJ and promoter, co-hosting the ://elements series at ://about blank. Her activities in the local music and club culture scene also include working at Hard Wax, one of Berlin’s essential record store addresses.

Reka’s sound is a palpable blend of cosmic and driving Techno, combining deep, gloomy vibes and trippy elements as well as percussion-heavy, groovy and tooly facets. Besides her passion for Techno realms, she loves various forms of (UK) Bass music, Electro (Wave) or experimental beatless soundscapes. She also plays under the moniker No Life Signal, a B2B duo with ://elements colleague and DJ fellow THNTS.

Since early 2023 now, she’s been a member of the local residents team of well-known Berlin Tresor club. Furthermore she’s part of the Coppi collective, a project space with weekly community-based studio sessions in an off-location between Friedrichshain and Lichtenberg.
