Max and I have been listening to nthng’s music for a long time. We discovered him after he released his first EP Remember Us on Mörk back in 2014. In 2021, we bought his record Shine on Bandcamp, and Jur (nthng) personally delivered it by bike. We talked for a bit, got along, and later ended up in the studio together. He gave us some insight into his work, which was very enlightening.

We had already been thinking about organizing parties, but we weren’t connected to the scene in Berlin—meeting Jur was the trigger. He delivered an intense, subtly dreamy, dubby techno/trancy set. That’s when we decided to invite him and created Lowpass, knowing this event would be just the beginning. Since then, we’ve had him back at Lowpass and will again in the future.

 

nthng biography :

 

nthng‘s sound takes in dub techno, hazy ambient and classic trance. His DJ sets hop effortlessly between these different strains, but his EPs tend to focus on one aspect at a time.He has released multiple EP’s and albums such as “It Never Ends”, “Hypnotherapy” and “Unfinished” on Lobster Theremin and Delsin. His latest outing “Earthseed” is a four track EP on Transatlantic, ranging from ambient to energetic breaks and melodic dub techno, while an earlier appearance for Transatlantic, “The Traveller” saw him take on higher tempos and driving trance.
