Halosaur

Stéphane and I got introduced by Lask. We have our studio in the same building, Gaswerksiedlung. Stéphane and I started sharing cafes and talks during our respective breaks at the corner café then ended up in the studio together. I got very impressed by his passion and knowledges about music in general. He can create any sound, produce any style, probably the most knowledgeable artist I met so far especially when it comes to modular. Max got to know him and his music as well and we decided to invite him to our modular live night. He performed an extraordinary Jungle set with many layer and classy synth lines.

Halosaur biography 

Halosaur (AKA Steph Lefrancois) is a music producer, recording engineer, live performer and teacher. His music is composed on an extensive modular setup, giving it a distinctive raw, exploratory vibe. Steph, who’s also a drummer, focuses on groovy, intricate percussion, layered with evocative textures.

Over the past 20 years, Steph has dedicated his time to spreading knowledge, refining his craft, defining his sound and releasing on world-renowned labels such as R&S, KMS, Toolroom, and !K7, to name a few. Enriched by those diverse experiences and connections, he’s now poised to channel a lifetime of inspiration, performing live on modular and Octatrack.
